Mini Bio:
"Running over soggy ground, through artificial ponds, plastic coated greased hills, fjording rivers, and dodging gobs of mustard, ketchup, and relish" is how Anil, who has also climbed the CN Tower in 19 minutes (during the United Way Stair climb), describes his orientation to the University of Toronto at Scarborough. Anil, 18, who placed first in OBC '96, has also received awards in chemistry, mathematics, history, English, Latin, and Classics, and was a co-captain of Woburn Collegiate's Reach for the Top Trivia team. An award winner in writing since grade 9, Anil enjoys reading science fiction, popular science, the "classics", European and South Asian history, and military science. Anil, who is attending U of T at Scarborough (formerly known as Scarborough College) because it "is close to home" and "has a good reputation in biology", is considering specializing in the cell and molecular biology honours degree programme, and would like to pursue a career in genetic engineering after graduate school.
