Prince of Wales Collegiate
Mini Bio:
Kelly, who placed in the 99th percentile in the 2000 biology competition, was chosen as one of Newfoundland's top graduates of 2000 by the St. John's Evening Telegram. She placed second in the province in the annual scholarship exam, and is the winner of several scholarships, including the Rogers English Prize and University College's Howard Ferguson Award. Kelly's fondest high school memory is spending two weeks studying at a university in Cuba as a member of Prince of Wales Collegiate's first Canada World Youth International Studies Program. Kelly has also been a member of the youth panel for CBC Radio One, a rugby player, co-founder and editor of an alternative student publication, and an active volunteer with St. John's Food Not Bombs. At U of T, Kelly is having a great time exploring her new city and hoping to major in cognitive science and philosophy.
