Results of the 2025 Competition
The 27th annual University of Toronto National Biology Competition was held at participating institutions on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. There were 3,036 eligible contestants, from266institutions: 2,337 contestants from 206 institutions within Canada, and 699 international contestants from 60 institutions outside of Canada. Over 125,000 high school students have participated in the competition since 1995.
To view your results:
Select “Student Dashboard” from the drop down menu at the top
Click “My Competitions” in the left column
Here you may view your score, rank, percentile, and the number of questions answered correctly and incorrectly. Please note: If there was a tie for a rank, this will be indicated by “rank – number before next rank,” e.g. if three people tied for fourth place, it will display for all those students as 4-6 (i.e. the next highest score will be ranked 7th)
To view any certificates you have been awarded:
Select “My Certificates” from the drop down menu at the top
Click “My Certificates” in the left column. Here you may view all certificates awarded to you by clicking “Link” next to a certificate name. We recommend downloading and saving your own copy of the certificate! All students who participated will receive a Certificate of Participation, and a list of other potentially awarded certificates can be found here. If you qualified for an award, your school competition coordinator will be in touch soon about this.
